Hola- I have been a democratic voter all of my life. I have voted democratic and been very proud of my party. I recently emailed Senator Clinton and Senator McCain and told them both, if Obama gets the nomination I will vote Republican and for McCain. What has happened to people? It seems such a simple thought to me to be clear in though. Obama speaks of “Change”….what a good thing. But where is the strategic plan? Have I missed it? How is he going to effect this change? I taught environmental biology at the community college level. Every time Obama opens his mouth I think of the enormous issues with environmental issues and sense that if Obama becomes president his “Change” mindset will become mired in the same kind of stag mire that environmental issues are in. What is the point by point plan to effect this change? I do not believe he has one. I don’t know what he will do with international issues either. I see Obama as too arrogant and too immature to be president. I sense that Obama could not understand the needs of the common person, the invisibility of the homeless or the needs of the middle to lower middle class. I think a lot of media hype helped early in the campaign to get Obama wider exposure I have no compulsion at all about jumping ship to the Republican Party in order to vote against Obama. And my statement is neither racial nor biased. My mother was Hispanic and all my research is in the achieving Hispanic woman.

I talk to a lot of people in Houston and BCS. I am affiliated with the BCS AAUW branch, Girls Scouts of Texas (getting a STEM Initiative) in BCS, and am on the board of the brain association in Texas. I am helping a former student of mine to build a street medicine project in BCS. And work with SEARCH – HHH in Houston.

There are 37,000 uninsured people in Brazos Valley if you look at the Health Districts. I told Senator Clinton I want to work on an education committee if she becomes president. Anita Connelly-Nicholson, PhD
