Congressman Chet Edwards’s district is the most Republican district in the nation represented by a Democratic Member of Congress according to political analyst Charlie Cook. Edwards has earned national praise for his leadership on nuclear non-proliferation and religious liberty issues. He is the third ranking Democrat on the House Budget Committee and has served in Congress since 1991.
